How do DualQuickFit interpanel connectors work?
Spring panels have been designed to be very simple and quick to connect hydraulically: a key point for a quality installation.
The DualQuickfit couplings are quick fittings the panels together: there are two couplings per panel that simply clip together to make them watertight.
The watertightness of these fittings has been tested and proven during thermal pressure cycling tests accoring to EN 12975 standards as part of the SOLAR KEYMARK certification.
What is the difference between the DualQuickfit fittings of DualSun SPRING 280 (ref xxxM-60-2BBP) and DualSun SPRING 300 - 315 (ref xxxM-60-3BBP) panels?
The main difference is the change in frame thickness between the SPRING 280 (45 mm) and the SPRING 300-315 (with a 35 mm thick frame).
The SPRING 280's heat exchanger manifold was designed so that it would not protrude beyond the 45 mm thick panel frame.

With a thinner panel frame (35 mm) for the SPRING 300-315, the heat exchanger manifold had to be redesigned to gain about 1 cm in thickness.

The SPRING 280 hydraulic coupling was secured by a claw inserted into the heat exchanger manifold, which imposed a certain thickness on the manifold.
Since the thickness of the manifold had to be reduced by 1 cm for the SPRING 300-315, another means of securing the hydraulic coupling was designed by DualSun engineers. The SPRING 300-315 coupling is therefore secured by 4 claws that grip the manifold. And the gasket of the SPRING 300-315 coupling is now on the coupling end to be inserted into the manifold.
This has allowed the SPRING 300-315 panels to be aligned with the new standard dimensions of the 35 mm thick photovoltaic panels, while retaining the heat exchanger fully integrated in the panel. This ensures, among other things, broad compatibility with roof installation systems.
